LineDrone Installation of Dynamic Line Rating Sensor on Live 220 kV and 100 A Power Line
Developed through a collaboration between DRONE VOLT and Ampacimon, the leader in Dynamic Line Rating technology, this method enables the installation of the Sense X sensor using our LineDrone platform, a drone specifically engineered to land safely on energized power lines. This breakthrough approach sets a new benchmark in the industry, delivering installations in few minutes, with no power outages or safety risks for technicians. Additionally, it significantly reduces operational costs, making it a true game-changer for grid modernization.

LineDrone
The LineDrone is a dedicated system for inspecting high-voltage power lines
- Mechanical and functional integration of precision measurement probes for non-intrusive inspection of high-voltage lines.
- Protective cage and mechanical design for contact with transmission lines from 120 to 315 kV, up to 2000 A, while ensuring the system’s immunity to the various electromagnetic disturbances generated by high-voltage lines.
- Communication system resistant to electromagnetic fields disturbed by high voltage.
- Rapid deployment capacity for optimised operational results.
Sense X - Ampacimon's DLR Sensor
Ampacimon’s Sense X is an advanced Dynamic Line Rating sensor designed to deliver precise, real-time insights into conductor performance for utility operators.
