To support its development, Drone Volt is looking for a senior embedded electronic engineer to join its R&D department building the revolutionary drone of tomorrow.

Your mission
As a senior embedded electronic designer, you will design the core electronics of novel drone systems concepts. You work tightly with the mechanical engineering team in order to optimize the overall performance of a flying drone. Your core competence are numerical and analog electronic design. You also have a strong cross discipline experience in all robotics fields : motor design and control , embedded software, microcontrollers and RF systems designs etc. You understand the constraints of the different technical fields to optimize your designs. Experience with building or flying drones is a plus.
You will evolve in a highly international environment, communication skills and ability to work with remote people is a must.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Component selection and sourcing
  • Circuit design (mixed-signal, high-speed digital, RF, power)
  • Simulation (Anlaog, Signal integrity)
  • Schematic capture and library management in Altium designer
  • Responsible for PCB layout – you are able to design the PCB layout or follow-up an external company.
  • Design for testing and assembling
  • Communication with PCB manufacturers and EMS
  • Validation before flight testing.

  • Your profile

  • You have a master degree or higher in electronic engineering
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in designing embedded electronics.
  • You are proficient in schematics, component sourcing, PCB layout design.
  • Expert on Design for Manufacturing and testing, has extensive knowledge of manufacturing methods.
  • Applicative experience building or flying drones is an advantage.
  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit and drive your project to the end.

    Willing to work in a highly international environment and can manage distance work.
    Self-driven, enthusiastic, curious, creative and a team player.
    Up to date with new technologies.
    Sensible to project management and timeline.
    Fluent in English, French is a plus.

    Contract type: Full time.
    Location: Paris area with travels in different subsidiaries – remote position can be negotiated.
    Starting date: ASAP.
